Responsibilities:
1. Run both local statutory & internal IBNR reserving and reporting
a. Choose relevant reserving methods basing on the nature of biz, regulation and internal guidelines
b. Extract right data and monitor the data quality
c. Run IBNR reserving triangles and test results
d. Draw up reserving reports
2. Prepare the local quarterly solvency report
a. Set up solvency calculation model
b. Evaluate liability items including UEPR and IBNR
c. Check asset items with F/A department
d. Collect information from other Depts. & prepare the narrative report
3. Review the business portfolio
a. Meet with profit center managers (PCMs) & understand their needs
b. Set up models, get the data and analyze the results
c. Present the finding and communicate with PCMs
4. Price new products
a. Understand the product development background and coverage
b. Set up pricing model and communicate rates with PCMs
c. Prepare the CIRC actuarial statement and filing documents
5. Manage the team and function
a. Plan for own function
b. Provide direction and supervising for team members
Other Requirements:
1. Qualified or nearly qualified fellowship of CAS, IOA, SOA, SOAC and other relevant qualification institutions
2. Had 5 years working experience in insurance industry or relevant fields, solid knowledge of general insurance and good business acumen. Working experience with MNC and some international exposure are preferred
3. Can work independently to accomplish at least two of the major actuarial tasks including reserving, pricing, portfolio evaluation & solvency reporting
4. Has some team leading experience or great potential
5. Good personal skills and communication skills
6. Bachelor or above degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, economy or other majors with a strong quantitative focus and academic record from leading universities or colleges
7. Proficiency language skills in both writing & speaking (Chinese & English) |
